Feast for a Yogi Cookbook

At long last, my cookbook, “Feast for a Yogi,” is here in print! You can purchase them at The Wellness Center or call, and we will send one to you. The cost is $26.00 plus tax. This cookbook contains a collection of my favorite, yet simple, vegetarian recipes. I draw many different ethnic styles of cooking, including Indian, Italian, French, American, Thai, and macrobiotic. Most recipes take 15 minutes or less to prepare.

If you learn a new recipe every week, you can transform your eating habits in six months or less. I have included a brief explanation of basic nutritional concepts from both eastern and western perspectives, as well as simple suggestions to improve digestion.

To celebrate the completion of this project, I will teach a COOKING CLASS on Saturday, July 12th, 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm. In this class, I will prepare a “Feast for a Yogi” using a few of the many recipes in the book. Cost will be a [NON-REFUNDABLE] $45/person. It is my intent to continue developing “Tools for Healthy Living” that will help people move toward a healthier lifestyle. In the next few months, I will be working on a DVD to teach basic breathing techniques for stress reduction, relaxation, and will also provide an introduction to meditation.

Subsequently, I will work on developing a DVD explaining postural alignment with the use of the three diaphragms, or what is called the locks or “bandhs” in yoga. These three areas, posture, breathing, and healthy eating, constitute the foundation of a healthy lifestyle.

I will continue to update you on the menu for the cooking class as well as my progress with other “Tools for Healthy Living”. I look forward to seeing each and every one of you, and thank you for your continued support.
